Sales of the green and brown ribbon support FTC's tree nursery programme, which trains school children to plant and nurture trees for fruit and firewood.

They soon learn which trees can be cut for firewood, and which to leave for fruit - and take the message home to their families, "If you cut down a tree, plant two more."

FTC supplies tools, saplings and regular visits from Feed The Children trainers.
